The wool top of this hat acts as water resistant shell. The nature of the fabric is such that it very slowly absorbs moisture, and once wet it becomes almost impenetrable to water - it does not let moister in, keeping the Russian Navy officer head dry and warm.
Soft quilted lining is padded with layers of hat cotton, viscose rayon, wool and flax fibers.
For your convenience an insignia (Russian Double Headed Insignia) will come unattached to the hat.

How to measure your head and choose the right hat size:
Wrap a measuring tape around head, 1.5 cm (5/8 in.) above eyebrows and ears.
If you don't have a tape measure, use a string and then measure the string.
Add 1 cm or 0.4 inch to the measurement
and compare with the size chart.
If in between 2 sizes, go to the larger size.
